3. Maersk Shipping (S) Pte. Ltd. Singapore (Aug 2001 – Sep 2004)

I was working as I T Manager with Maersk Singapore Pte Ltd from Aug..2001 up to Sept 2004. This is a large Container shipping company and also includes Maersk Logistics. I have 6 staff working under me and supporting 400 users with various LAN and WAN applications. The job involves day to day management of Computer services, Management of Network which includes WAN to Copenhagen, Internet etc. The computer centre has 30 Servers running Windows 2000/2003 and various applications. Company has large network of LAN and WAN connecting Singapore office to Head Office in Copenhagen and to offices in Tuas and Air Cargo. My job included maintenance and configuration of 400 user LAN, WAN connection to PSA, Pacific Net and other offices in Tuas and Air cargo, 18 CISCO switches, 4 CISCO routers, PIX/Checkpoint Firewall and VPN using RSA Secure ID Tokens.

4. IMC Shipping Co. Pte. Ltd. Singapore (June 1990 – July 2000)

Selection /Installation of Hardware. Company had one AS/400, 3 HP LAN Servers, SUN Unix Servers and UPS. To look after the Computer Room and all these Hardware. Liasoning with vendors for Maintenance / Trouble Shooting / Upgrading. Maintaining onsite and offsite backup of all the data.

Selection / Implementation / Testing / Conducting User Training / Trouble Shooting/ Liasoning with Vendors for upgrading on various Shipping / and other Software. During the last 10 years I implemented CODA Financial Accounting System, MARK Communication System, Shipnet Purchase System, Shipnet Chartering System, Payroll System, Maintenance of 100 MBPS internal LAN Network using 3COM Hubs running Novell Netware, Windows NT and AS/400 and UNIX. LAN / AS 400 Administration including User creation, File rights, File Flags, Print services and security setting.
